Over the course of two days, Ms. Thompson delivered dynamic and comprehensive training designed to empower educators with innovative, learner-centered teaching strategies. Her sessions were attended by a diverse and engaged audience comprising approximately 20 tutors, 13 secondary school teachers, and 50 students from both institutions.
Participants responded with enthusiasm and appreciation for Ms. Thompson’s practical, interactive approach to Active Learning. Her methodology not only fostered active engagement but also significantly enhanced participants’ understanding of how to effectively facilitate student learning and comprehension of curriculum content.
The importance of this training cannot be overstated. Active Learning plays a critical role in improving educational outcomes by encouraging deeper cognitive engagement and fostering critical thinking skills among students. The positive feedback from educators and students alike reflects the transformative potential of these methods in Tanzanian classrooms.
Savannah Vision Tanzania remains deeply committed to advancing the quality of education through continuous professional development and international collaboration. We are delighted by the success of Ms. Thompson’s sessions and look forward to welcoming her back in the coming year for further capacity-building engagements.
