September 2023 Highlights: NACONGO Forum – Arusha Region
In September, two dedicated members of the Savannah Vision Tanzania (SVTa) team, Mr. Thomas and Ms. Grace, actively participated in a pivotal 2-day regional forum for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) at the East Africa Community Conference hall in Arusha.
The forum served as a significant platform for enhancing the sustainability of NGOs, bringing together a diverse community of 400 NGO representatives. Mr. Thomas and Ms. Grace, representing SVTa, engaged in discussions with government leaders at the regional level.
The event featured technical presentations addressing key issues affecting the activities of various organizations, with a particular focus on policy, taxation, and compliance matters. Leaders of NGOs collectively advocated for the creation of a conducive environment that allows NGOs to function effectively and contribute meaningfully to national development.
This forum not only facilitated insightful discussions but also provided a valuable opportunity for networking and collaboration among NGOs. The interactions and shared experiences contributed to a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the sector.
