Professor Hozen Mayaya is the Rector of the Institute of Rural Development Planning in Tanzania. He has been a Senior lecturer on Environmental Planning and Ecosystem Management. He has done intensive research and consultation works on the environmental aspects of Tanzania.
Dr. Mayaya has a Ph.D. in Environmental Planning from Eldoret University in Kenya, an MSc in Geography and Environmental Management from Wageningen University in the Netherlands, and a BSc in Geography and Biology from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania. His interest is in terrestrial ecosystem management and restoration.
