Thomas Reuben is the Founder and Executive Director of Savannah Vision Tanzania (SVTa) . He leads efforts to empower marginalized communities in Tanzania by implementing UN SDGs goals 4, 8, 15, and 17.
Thomas strongly believes that inclusive and equitable development strategies with a focus on quality education, economic empowerment, and management of ecosystems can bring meaningful and sustainable development to Tanzanians .
He has worked with NGOs for more than 17 years on development projects to help poor communities get access to education, water, rural roads, and water infrastructures. Thomas is currently doing a Ph.D. thesis at the University of Dar es Salaam. He has an MSc in natural resources assessment and management, a BED (Geography), and a Diploma in Education.
Thomas has worked as a technician, a teacher in secondary schools, an Assistant Lecturer at the University, and as Headmaster. He lives in Monduli, Arusha, Tanzania with his wife and three children.
